Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) + Complexion

Updated: Apr 29, 2020

What is Vitamin B3?

It is one of the most popular active skincare ingredients. It is proven to work on all skin types! In skincare products it will show up as, “Niacin,” “Niacinamide,” and “Nicotinamide." It is a water soluble vitamin, which cannot be stored in our body, thats why we apply it to our skin.

How Does it Work With Our Skin?

It helps with dark spots, lightening hyperpigmentation and helps brighten our complexion. Niacinamide works to improve your acid mantle (the outermost layer of the skin.) Since vitamin B3 is easily absorbed, it’s a great ingredient for keeping it healthy with no irritation. Niacinamide also helps to improve skin barrier function, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, decreases redness and improves skin elasticity.

How Do You Use It?

First of all, it has little to no side effects at all.

>>After cleansing your face, apply your toners and serums or chemical exfoliants to the skin. Let your skin absorb the products, then you can apply your niacinamide and finish with a moisturizer! Just remember when layering products (serums), you will want to start with the thinnest and finishing with thickest. Wrap it up with moisturizer and SPF 30 or more.

Tips: Niacinamide works well with: Hyaluronic Acid or Ceramides.
